Compass registers itself on your hand and wrist. Schedules and tasks live around your wrist through your augmented view. This allows information to always be present but not interfere with day to day life., Compass is a mixed reality application that requires AR glasses to overlay information on the surrounding world., Adding an event is as simple as jotting it down on a piece of paper. Just write our unique symbol before the event, and Compass will lift the necessary information, including the name, time, and location. The event will then appear in your schedule and surface at the appropriate time. You can also add tasks, which are not time-specific. Tasks automatically appear on your wrist in gray and hover above your schedule., Scheduled events are projected in blue tabs around your wrist. These time-sensitive events rotate over time, paralleling a traditional clock, so the current event is always in view. Events can sync with calendar applications like iCal.

Compass - Task Management in Mixed Reality

Gabriel Mitchell

An application that helps you navigate day-to-day life and stay productive. It uses augmented reality and image capturing to digitally store any tasks, schedule, or notes you write down. During this project, we focused on people who struggle with task management to understand the major pain points with existing organizational tools. I created user interfaces and a concept video to illustrate an augmented reality solution. Client: Cognizant
