These images were created for a class to illustrate a New York Times article titled "Fixing Nemo." The article discusses the growing field of fish veterinary practice. Many pet-owners have an emotional connection with their fish-- so much so that they're willing to spend hundreds of dollars on surgeries to prolong their fish's life. In these illustrations, I wanted to contrast the apparent frivolity of this medical practice with the very real emotions of the fish-owners.
