Fiddle/Wakenote

Lauren Goldstein

What are low tech and high tech solutions to helping students stay alert and take their best notes in a lecture-based class? After doing primary research, I created two solutions to this problem: Fiddle and Wakenote. Fiddle is a simple device used to keep students' hands active, allowing the mind to stay alert and focused. Wakenote records lectures, turning speech into text. This device not only helps with notes, but also wakes up students if they dose off during class.
