Connecting History
Carolyn Zhou
Each student in our class researched a designer from history and presented a biography in 3 double-page spreads and a web page. We aimed to capture the essence and style of our designer. We learned to construct grid systems, explored visual characteristics and nuances of a text-and-image piece, and found the different affordances and constraints of print and digital media. It is also worth noting that this was the first time many of us, including me, worked with HTML/CSS.
