Fred is Design Director and Principal Partner of Bould Design, which is based in Silicon Valley and serves clients including Nest Labs, GoPro, and Roku. A Pittsburgh native, Fred received his BFA from CMU’s School of Design in 1987 and his MS in Product Design Engineering from Stanford in 1995, where he focused on smart product, mechanical and manufacturing design. Recognition includes numerous IDEA, Core77, D&AD, and Red Dot Awards as well as inclusion in the permanent collections of both the Cooper Hewitt and SFMOMA. bould.com
