Join us as students present the outcomes for our final project, "Beyond the Screen." In this exercise, students design a system of components that work together to support a user or community of users as they attempt to achieve some practical goal. This product ecosystem includes multiple touchpoints across multiple channels (e.g., digital apps and services, physical goods, wearables, ambient indicators, wayfinding/signage systems, other print materials, and/or service-oriented interactions between people). At least one component must be delivered in a channel that is not screen-based. Feel free to drop in—you're welcome to attend all or part of the sessions.
Environments Studio IV: Projects from Sleep Ecologies & the Unseen Surround (Lockton)
MMCH 210
10:00 - 1:00pm
CJ Walsh, Erin Ryan, Jackie Chou, Antonio Song and Tammar Zea-Wolfson will be showing interactive work and prototypes from two projects. Sleep Ecologies, in collaboration with Philips Design, explores sleep, wellbeing and mental health among students through physical and digital probes each investigating a different aspect of sleep's intersections with everyday life. The Unseen Surround examines and reveals invisible and hidden phenomena in our environments and the systems we inhabit, from language to identity to our understanding of climate change.
