Please join the final review for the Designing Experiences for Learning course. It will function similarly to a science fair in that it invites informal conversations and the perusal of work. The students are eager to share their thinking, prototypes, and discoveries with you so we hope you can join us!
WATCH THEIR PRESENTATIONS
On Monday, May 4, please review the videos that each of the six teams created, which you can find in this google folder. The 5-minute videos aim to provide you with an overview of their projects and prototypes. Please access and review the videos asynchronously prior to joining the zoom conversations so that you have an understanding of what they have done and are prepared to chat with them about their work. They will NOT be giving presentations of their work during the zoom calls but will have their work on hand to reference, similar to a science fair.
PLAN FOR THE ZOOM CONVERSATIONS
Each of the six teams will have a separate zoom call number that you will use to access their session and each of them will be conducting six separate conversations about their work (running ten minutes each with five minute breaks in between sessions from 10:30am to 12pm. We’re taking this approach to facilitate more informal conversations than what often happens when we have many attendees in a session all at one time. Therefore, you will have an opportunity to chat with each team, if you so choose.
RSVP BY END OF DAY, MONDAY, MAY 4
In an effort to mitigate zoom bombing, keep the number of attendees to a size that encourages meaningful informal conversation, and provide the students with an idea of who they can expect on the calls, we kindly ask that you RSVP by the end of Monday, May 4. Members of the School of Design can sign-up online via this google sheet. Others should RSVP noting the presentations (see below) and the time of the session you’d like to attend (options include 10:30, 10:45, 11, 11:15, 11:30, and 11:45). We will follow the sign-up with an email Tuesday morning that provides you with a zoom link and password to join the zoom conversations.
