GDUSA Names the School of Design a Top Design School for 2017

Graphic Design USAa business-to-business information source for graphic design professionals for more than 50 years, has named Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design as a Top Design School for 2017. The list represent's GDUSA's "favorite institutions that excel in preparing students to work successfully and effectively in a professional graphic design setting."

The list is based on a mix of objective and subjective factors, including our own decades long relationships with designers, students, recruiters, educators. The theme is timely: design education is more important than ever as the lines between studio and classroom, office and  academy, university and society, continue to blur. And as designers play an increasingly influential role in shaping commerce and culture.

GDUSA noted that the School of Design is one of the only leading programs to offer design degrees at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels within a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural research university.
