Victoria Crowley
Vicki Crowley has a design career that spans 20 years and was launched with a degree from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design and an internship with renowned information designer and founder of the TED Conferences, Richard Saul Wurman.
In 2000, she moved to Pittsburgh and joined Landesberg Design, a firm that specializes in communications for higher education, philanthropy, community building institutions, and arts and cultural organizations. There she practiced in the areas of print design, environmental graphics, and information design, developing thoughtful and compelling solutions for Pittsburgh institutions including The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, City Theatre, and Riverlife Task Force.
In 2016, Vicki left Landesberg to spend more time with her family and explore other interests — including teaching. As an Adjunct Professor in the School of Design she teaches Communication Design 1 to sophomores and Information Design to non-majors pursuing a concentration or minor in Media Design or Innovation & Entrepreneurship through CMU's Integrative Design, Arts, and Technology department (IDeATe). She continues to practice as an independent consultant, crafting print publications for CMU's School of Computer Science and School of Drama.
Vicki is a member of the Stuckeman Advisory Board at Penn State University, a Board Trustee of Shady Lane School (founded in 1966 in collaboration with Fred Rogers) and is a past president of AIGA's Pittsburgh chapter.
