John Baldridge


John recently earned his MBA in Marketing, Technology, and Innovation. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Design for Interactions from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design. 

In 2020, John served as a graduate student intern at NASA Langley Research Center where he worked on projects for the Space Mission Analysis Branch and the Advanced Concepts Laboratory. While in graduate school John is working as the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and Communications in the Dean’s Office of Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering and CMU Silicon Valley where he oversees strategic marketing communications with the goal to help promote research such as autonomous vehicles, 3-D printing heart muscle tissue, and exoskeletons—just to name a few. 

John is also the Founder and Creative Director of Twelve14 Studios, a full-service design agency specializing in brand development. John has always worked at the intersection of technology and design. Prior to joining CMU, John served as Senior Creative Consultant at Simpleview, a technology company that creates award-winning websites, creative, and integrated marketing solutions for over 350+ destinations worldwide. John also served as Senior Creative Consultant at Digital River, a publicly-traded technology company that provides global ecommerce, payment, and marketing solutions.

John is originally from Western New York and enjoys spending time on Chautauqua Lake with his family. John now lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, three children, and their new Scottish Terrier puppy. 

During his time here at Carnegie Mellon, John is looking to further his education in business and design and use his diverse background to make the world a little better.
