Aisling Kelliher is an Associate Professor in the School of Design, currently teaching the undergraduate Senior Lab.
Aisling creates and studies interactive media systems for enhancing communication, learning, and reflection. Grounded within the fields of human-computer-interaction, multimedia, and interaction design, her work is motivated by a desire to carefully integrate computational processes into our everyday mediated experiences.
Her work has been published in a wide-variety of journals and conferences including TOMCCAP, SIGCHI, ACM MM, ISEA, CIKM, and ICWSM, and exhibited at leading national venues including SIGGRAPH, the ASU Art Museum, and the DeCordova Museum. Her work is supported by grants from the MacArthur Foundation, the NSF CreativeIT, NSF DRK12, NSF IGERT, and NSF EAGER programs.
Aisling holds a B.A. in Communications Studies from Dublin City University and a M.Sc. in Multimedia Systems from Trinity College, Dublin. She also received a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Media, Arts and Sciences from the MIT Media Lab.
