Stefania La Vattiata

A Mexican/Italian designer currently studying interaction design and pursuing a Master's degree at Carnegie Mellon University at the School of Design.

I am interested in how we can extend and enhance people’s capabilities through technology and design, based on the “Augmented Intelligence” theory.

I love working with a positive attitude and collaborating with diverse teams every day. New challenges are invigorating for me, so I try always to look for experimental ways to do things and learn from them.

I interned at Philips as a UX Design Intern last year and had the amazing opportunity to work on real product interfaces, and recently my team and I won the Consumer Technology Association (CES) Innovation Honoree Award for the Philips Respironics 3D Mask Selector.

Recently awarded the “kynamatrix Research Network "Innovation through Collaboration" 2021 Grant Award for projects in design, engineering, and computer science”, for my thesis research called “Exploring the Applications of AI in Interaction Design”.
