I’m a visual designer interested in engaging people in rich, joyful sensory experiences. I believe in the power of art, beauty, and excitement to enhance the way we live and interact. I'm obsessed with color and clarity. Put another way, I appreciate the value of visual aesthetics, but at the same time I know how important it is to build systems to organize complex information and communications. Things ought to be pretty, and they ought to make sense. I'm also a big proponent of handmade and tactile design. It's difficult to create something with character on a computer, or to be fully engaged with an experience on a screen. I'm interested in making things that retain a human element-- that you can touch with your hands and feel in your gut. When people interact with my designs, I want them to get a sense of the care and passion that was put into it.
