Welcome to the Doctoral Application Portal

To use this application, you must first create a new account. After you create the account a one-time email will be sent to the email address you specified. You will need to click the link in that email to activate your account. If you do not receive an email with the subject "Account details for [your name] at cmu-phd-application", please check your spam or deleted emails folders. These emails are usually sent within 20-30 minutes after you create your account.

Once you've logged in for the first time, you'll be able to set a password for your account. After setting your password, you will be able to login using that username and password thereafter. If you forget your password, you can reset it here.

When you begin creating your application you can edit it at any time between now and February 28th.  If you're not ready to submit all of your information in one session, click the "Save application in progress” button. Clicking this button allows you to save an incomplete application. 

When you have all of your information ready and have filled in all of the required fields, press the “Submit your completed application!” button to submit your application.  At that time a link will be shown that directs you to pay the application fee.

Once the application fee is paid, your application will be considered submitted. When all transcripts and scores have been received, your application will be considered complete and will be reviewed after February 28th.
