Alexander is a strategy and design consultant hailing from metro-Detroit whose research is intent on uncovering applications of technology and economic models that support the design of, and transition to, sustainable futures at scale.

His professional work focuses on building new businesses and helping organizations think through their innovation strategy, most recently as part of McKinsey & Co.'s digital and innovation practices. Previously he worked with publishers in emerging markets to make their content available on e-readers and mobile phones. He has spoken widely on digital publishing across Europe and Africa and has contributed to publications such as UNESCO's Reading in the Mobile Era.

He holds master's degrees from Northwestern University (MBA + MS in Design Innovation) and the Universitat de Barcelona (MA in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities) and has completed graduate work at the London School of Economics and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
