The Bollinger T1 truck

This project was a sponsored by Bollinger Motors headed by CMU Design Alum Robert Bollinger. Working with the Bollinger B2 platform — refered to a large mobile power plant that can go anywhere — and the team at Bollinger, students were challenged to focus on the city of Jackson Mississippi and its reoccuring water crises. They conceived of a new way to position "first responders" across broken systems and proposed realisitc and innovative services and products as responses. The important empathy they gained was by 1) understanding the complex political, economic, and unjust social systems that led to the current state of failure, and 2) learning to frame and respond to problems with limited access and resources.
