The School of Design offers part time student employment opportunities, including Teaching Assistantships (TA) and Research Assistantships (RA) in the fall and spring semesters for graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Read the Guide to SoD Student Jobs
  • Go to cmu.joinhandshake.com to create or access your CMU account.
  • Login into Handshake with your Andrew ID and password. Make sure all of your profile fields are completed and that you have your resume uploaded into Handshake.
  • From the top left banner select Jobs. At the top right, type in the  search box: School of Design. You are now viewing all of the Design student employment opportunities available in Handshake and may apply directly to the job(s) that interests you.
  • You may also use this School of Design spreadsheet to view the available jobs in Handshake.
