Mark Mentzer is a Professor in the School of Design where he teaches foundation design, including Design Drawing I, Design Drawing II, and Color and Communication at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He also has a specialization in design drawing and design in public places.
Mentzer is an active artist and has exhibited in some 35 group and one-person shows nationally, receiving numerous awards for his work. He has created at least one original drawing each day for more than 16 years and has catalogued more than 6,000 of his drawings.
Mentzer holds a BFA in Art from Carnegie Mellon University.
