Lore, a mixed-reality experience for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, was awarded the Freelance Silver Winner in Interaction Design at the 2025 Indigo Design Awards.

Lore is a mixed-reality experience with MR glasses, designed to captivate teenagers and encourage them to visit the library more often. Libraries offer a wealth of resources on countless topics, making them ideal spaces for teenagers to explore various interests and consider future paths. However, the sheer volume of available materials can be overwhelming, making navigation difficult and engagement challenging. Lore aims to transform the traditional library experience for teenagers by introducing an interactive, theme-based exploration system. This approach goes beyond passive browsing, providing a dynamic way to discover new interests through curated themes, immersive technology, and engaging narratives. We propose an interactive exploration method that encourages deeper engagement and discovery.
