This is one of my favorite projects from Products Studio II—a flashlight that combines traditional Indian craft with modern design.
It’s inspired by my hometown, Jaipur, known for its rich artistic heritage. The blue and white palette draws from Jaipur Blue Pottery, a centuries-old ceramic tradition known for its vibrant cobalt patterns. The reflective details reference mirror work, a Rajasthani embroidery technique that plays beautifully with light.
The lotus motif adds another layer of meaning—it symbolizes purity and beauty in Indian culture and is also India’s national flower. By blending these elements, I aimed to create a functional object that reflects Indian elegance in a contemporary form.
